Review
of "How to Get Six Pack Abs"
eBook By Todd Scott

So I'm sure you're thinking
at this point..."hey, wait a minute...didn't you guys
just review another ab training book last week and another
ab book a few months back? How come you're reviewing another
one?"
Very good question! Here's the
answer...
Timeliness...
At this very moment, Todd Scott
(the author of "How to Get Six Pack Abs" is putting
on a big launch for his book.
You're going to see a lot of
ads and emails from various other fitness and training sites
about this launch.
|
 |
But YOU should get the inside scoop
on what this book is all about WHILE he's got his big sale on (in
this case, he's offering a $5 trial of the full package - limited
time only, that type of thing). Doesn't make as much sense to review
it when it's not on sale and you're not getting hit with ads for
it.
So rather than wait, we figured we'd
give you the opportunity to learn what this book is all about so
you can make the most informed decision possible while you can get
the best deal on it if you DO decide to grab it.

Learn the Secret
Behind the "Cheeseburgers Every Day" Fat Loss Strategy...
Sounds like a load of garbage, right?
Well, it's one of the claims Todd makes on his website about his
new book "How to Get Six Pack Abs".
And this type of statement gives you
an idea of how Todd writes...very entertaining...very much "against
the grain" type of approach to training and fat loss.
And also VERY effective.
On a side note, I looked at Todd's
"cheeseburger every day" fat loss trick, and you know
what? It totally makes sense. I can definitely see it being a very
valid dieting approach. Plus, you can apply his technique to pretty
ANY "bad" food you like to eat. It's all in how you look
at things.
And that's what sets THIS book apart
from every book for getting six-pack abs.
The first thing you'll notice when
you open the book is that Todd takes a very "common-sense"
approach to training for six-pack abs. Like any knowledgeable trainer,
he'll tell you that seeing your six pack is not about training your
abs into oblivion...it's about dropping the excess fat that covers
up the abdominal area.
What
About Direct Ab Training For Six Pack Abs?
Even though the focus is on overall
fat loss, don't think for a second he ignores direct ab training
- it's actually the very next section in the book - a great variety
of good abdominal exercises and programs to directly hit the abs
so you've got something to show off once you lose the excess flab.
One thing I found interesting was
his take on interval training and his explanation of the DANGEROUS
truth about it.
I'm going to spill the beans on this
one (I'm sure he won't mind because it's important for everybody
to know about this). On the surface, I'm sure you've heard how good
interval training can be...how it's overall better for fat loss.
Totally true. It just is.
It's just HOW some trainers implement
interval training with people who aren't physically ready to perform
at high intensities that is the dangerous bit. Here's a quote directly
from the book:
|
"So the Dangerous Truth
of Interval Training is, it doesnt matter how effective
it is at burning fat, if you hurt yourself or try to start
too fast too soon and become afraid of the pain, youre
not gonna do it.
If you cant or wont
do it, its not effective. Period."
|
Interval training can
be implemented in many different ways - it doesn't have to be
full-on sprints.
The next section of the book talks
about nutrition and calories. Todd's got some excellent info in
here. Very easy to follow along and work with the numbers. He also
shows you some great shortcuts for figuring out your caloric needs,
including shopping lists and daily menus for various caloric intakes.
Now, if you've
ever been curious about how to drink alcohol and still get results
while on a fat-loss program, Todd has also provided a very interesting
"how-to" chapter on this. Right up front, he says he doesn't
recommend it for best results, but he does present some well-thought-out
ideas on how to minimize the impact.
And he's talking from personal experience
with these tips...you can tell from how he writes it. I know I've
never seen this topic addressed with a step-by-step approach like
this. It's a great addition to the book as I'm sure a lot of people
have often wondered how to accomplish fat loss while continuing
to enjoy alcoholic beverages.
Now We Move To the
16 Week Action Plan.
Todd's done an excellent job with
this. He takes you by the hand and leads you through every week
of the entire 16 week cycle of his program.
He tells you how to adjust your training
and diet on the fly so you know how to keep yourself moving the
right direction. He's laid out all the training so you'll know exactly
what you're doing every step of the way.
The workouts are generally good -
I don't agree with all the exercise selection or program design
but that's really beside the point. The core of training for
fat loss is weight training - on that we TOTALLY agree.
Todd has also included a good deal
of exercise technique info - pictures, explanations, that type of
thing. He covers all the recommended exercises from his programs
so you'll know exactly what you're doing.
Conclusion:
If you're looking for a good, common-sense,
step-by-step approach to fat loss, this one is a winner. Todd's
done a nice job of putting together an effective manual that takes
you through everything you need to get excellent fat loss results.
Advanced trainers will probably find
they know most of this information, to be honest (though I found
the cheeseburger diet to be a great concept...). The target audience
for this book is the beginning to intermediate trainer - that's
who's going to get the most out of it.
Overall, it's good stuff. If
you think you might be interested, definitely take advantage of
the $4.95 trial offer Todd has going right now.
